April 8th

April 8th is a special day as it marks a year of dating for David and I. For those who don't remember the story, I will share it to the best of my recollection. I met David at Milne Point in late March 2009. I was on my first or second trip to the facility when he suddenly walked into my office and introduced himself. I followed up with a "nice to meet you" email and we began our email exchange for the following 2 weeks. David returned to Anchorage after his 3 week hitch and we went on our first date on April 8th of last year. It has been a whirlwind of a year, but I look back and smile at the good times and adventures we've shared. Many of you have not had the opportunity to meet him, but hopefully that will change sometime in the near future. He's a special guy with a ton of energy and he sure knows how to make me smile. Here are a few photos from this past year:

David: Thank you for being such a special part of my life. You have opened my eyes to adventure and you've brought a smile back to my face. I would be silly to say this has been an easy year for us, but I take comfort in knowing we've faced the obstacles together and strenghtened our relationship as a result. Thank you for all you have done and all you continue to do. I love you, David Rhys Blosser.

Weekend in Homer

David and I took a weekend trip to Homer to visit our favorite getaway - Bear Creek Winery. For my "blog regulars", you may recall that we took my parents to the winery last summer following a camping trip at Whiskey Gulch. A special place for sure. David rented both cabins and we took his Mom and her boyfriend with us as an early Mother's Day present. We enjoyed the scenic drive south and stopped to take pictures along the way. Most evenings ended with David's home cooking on the grill and then a relaxing hour or two in the hot tub. After I got over the scary thought of wearing a bathing suit in March, I enjoyed the relaxed environment of a hot tub in the snow! Here are a few pictures from our adventure ... ENJOY!
